- The Road to Rhodes: European Aligner Society announces Greek location for its next Congress

The European Aligner Society has announced that the destination for its 6th Congress in May 2025… is Rhodes.

The Society has held its Congresses in some of Europe’s most captivating destinations, and its most recent in Valencia, Spain may be a hard act to follow as it was attended by over 1,000 delegates from 69 countries.

This attests to the EAS blueprint of staging events in desirable, ‘must-visit ‘locations and attracting the world’s most experienced and credible aligner experts to take to address delegates.

The case for Rhodes is compelling. It is the largest and most historically significant island the Greek archipelago and is known for its sites of ancient historical significance, stunning towns and glorious beaches.
The island caters to every type of visitor - those who like exploring past civilisations to those who relish the delights of an authentic mezze and ouzo experience.

The Congress takes place close to the medieval Old Town of Rhodes, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with charming cobblestone streets and well-preserved architectural marvels.  Those looking to extend their time on the island can explore the port of Mandraki, the picturesque Acropolis of Lindos, and ancient sites such as Kamiros and Ialysos, or the captivating natural beauty of the Valley of the Butterflies.

The Future of Aligner Orthodontics
Equally alluring is the wealth of presenters already lined up by the EAS’ Education Committee.  ‘The Future of Aligner Orthodontics’ is the overarching theme for the Congress and some of the leading experts in clear aligner orthodontics and digital dentistry have signed up to present plenary lectures and workshops during the three-day event.  The Society is also repeating its parallel sessions for practice teams, which were very well received in Valencia, where clinical presentations will be peppered by sessions on business skills to mindfulness and wellbeing.

Greek Hospitality
As well as the undoubted knowledge-fest the organisers have curated, they have also planned some engaging evening events to ensure that there is time to network with fellow delegates from around the world and benefit from exploring the ways they work - as previous event feedback has demonstrated the power of experiential knowledge.

Rhodes strikes the perfect balance between cosmopolitan and traditional, creating a timeless yet contemporary atmosphere for the Congress. So, for delegates seeking a chance to tag on a few days of R&R, can chose from a laid-back beach holiday, bustling nightlife, or enriching cultural experience.

The weather in May (22nd to 24th) when the Congress takes place, offers an early taste of the summer season while still retaining the sparkle of spring. Daytime temperatures average around 20°C and daily highs generally peak at approximately 25°C.
